This comprehensive guide to diving in Malaysia covers a host of stunning dive sites, including Pulau Sipadan off the coast of Sabah and destinations of the east and west coasts. This updated edition includes the latest practical information in the regional directories.
This comprehensive guide to diving in Malaysia features a host of stunning dive sites, ranging from the unique Pulau Sipadan off the coast of Sabah and the famous shipwrecks of Pulau Labuan, to the excellent diving destinations of the peninsula's east and west coasts. Even in the face of the 1998 El Nino phenomenon, Malaysia's reefs have continued to thrive; where before the focus was on hard corals, now people come for the myriad fish life and breathtaking array of pelagic species. For this edition, all coverage of the existing diving sites has been thoroughly updated, and the latest practical information included in the regional directories.

Jack Jackson is the author of over 12 books and hundreds of magazine articles. Principal consultant on New Holland's award-winning Top Dive Sites of the World, his other titles include Dive Guide to the Philippines and The Dive Sites of Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao. His photographs regularly appear worldwide, on everything from National Geographic to postage stamps. A fellow of the Royal Photographic Society in underwater photography, he is based in Woking, England.
