Football, Nationality and the State

Dr Vic Duke   Senior lecturer in Sociology at the University of Salford. He is well known and respected both for his work on the Sociology of football and for his work on Eastern Europe and has published extensively in both these areas. He is currently involved in a major EU funded research project on the economic and social effects of privatisation in Eastern and Central Europe.   Dr Liz Crolley   Lecturer in Spanish at Manchester Metropolitan University and has worked extensively in the field of football research as well as producing a series on football for the World Service.
