Nicolette Richer is an Orthomolecular Health Educator, Gerson Therapy Home Set Up Trainer, and Psych-Kinaesthetic Facilitator. Her education includes a MA in Environmental Education and Communication and a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies and a certificate in Sustainable Community Development. She’s a former environmental and sustainability consultant who spent many years studying the connection between toxicity in the soil, air, and water and chronic diseases. Today, she runs two businesses—an organic cafe + juice bar called the Green Moustache, now with six locations across Canada, and the Richer Heath Retreat Center, a sanctuary in British Columbia offering transformational retreats for people battling cancer, diabetes, heart disease, fatigue, depression, and many other conditions. She’s also the founder of Sea to Sky Thrivers, a community support group for people battling cancer and their families. Nicolette’s mission is to empower people to take their health into their own hands, to demonstrate how food can be used as healing medicine, and to show people that leading a healthy lifestyle doesn't have to be boring—it can be colorful, inspiring, and fun. Author Howard Straus, President of Gerson Media and the grandson of Dr. Max Gerson, chronicles the life, and achievements of Dr. Max Gerson. The book discusses the development of Gerson’s world-famous dietary therapy and the struggles this medical pioneer faced as he challenged orthodox medicine with his nutritional protocol. This inspiring and uplifting biography follows Dr. Gerson through Nazi persecution, then persecution in the United States from the medical establishment, the continuation of his work despite the opposition and his death under questionable circumstances. Straus helps run the Gerson Institute and resides in Carmel, California.
