Surely there were others out there who were trying but ultimately failing to live up to the Supermum ideal they'd bought into? She made a vow then and there to document the good, the bad and the ugly of parenting and her blog (www.theunmumsymum.co.uk) was born. The Unmumsy Mum was voted number 4 in Amazon's Top 10 books of 2016 (as voted by Amazon customers) and was also shortlisted for Book of the Year (non fiction, lifestyle) at the 2017 British Book Awards.
