Practical guide to walking the North Downs Way National Trail that runs from Farnham in Surrey to Dover in Kent, partly following the old Pilgrims' Way to the shrine of St Thomas a Becket at Canterbury. Henry Stedman is a walker of considerable experience, having hiked in many parts of Europe, Asia and Africa, and he has been writing guidebooks for more than a quarter of a century. He's the author and co-author of numerous guides from Trailblazer including as co-author with Joel Newton The South-West-Coast-Path mini-series Parts 1-2, and as author Hadrian's Wall Path, Coast to Coast Path, Dales Way, Kilimanjaro the Trekking Guide, and he has updated Pembrokeshire Coast Path, Offa's Dyke Path, The Ridgeway, The Inca Trail, Cusco & Machu Picchu 6th edition. With him on this trek, as with every walk he does in the UK, was Daisy, his (mostly) faithful dog.
