This work presents a Foucaultian perspective and demonstrates how the use of such a perspective can illuminate the way power works both negatively and positively in daily events. It addresses such topics as changing theories about sexuality and ideas about sex enmeshed in various pedagogies.
This work presents a Foucaultian perspective and demonstrates how the use of such a perspective can illuminate the way power works - negatively and positively - in daily events. Drawing on Foucault in combination with life-history narratives from the author's research interviews and autobiographical experience, the text addresses: changing theories about sexuality; ideas about sex enmeshed in various pedagogies; and questions raised by the disciplining of sexuality as educational environments move into cyberspace.
