Co-Owner and Master Baker Amy Emberling grew up in Nova Scotia, Canada. Amy went to Harvard College where she studied social movements in American history. She then worked in several restaurant kitchens in Michigan. After several years of hands-on experience, she was fortunate to receive a scholarship from Les Dames des Amies d'Escoffier to study cooking and baking in Paris. She joined Zingerman's Bakery in 1992 as one of it's first team members and now is a partner. She lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Co-Owner and Master Baker Frank Carollo grew up in the Italian suburbs of Detroit, MI. At 17, Frank moved to Ann Arbor to attend Engineering School at University of Michigan. He worked in the kitchens of several Ann Arbor restaurants and discovered his calling. It was during his post-college restaurant years that he became friends with the founders-to-be of Zingerman's Delicatessen, Paul Saginaw and Ari Weinzweig, helping them open Zingerman's Bakehouse in 1992 and has been leading the bakery ever since. He lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
