An account by a master teacher and practitioner of how, through a profound understanding and application of what osteopathy really is and should be, the clinician can 'find the health' rather then simply confronting disease.
The art of osteopathy has always been based on a body of anatomical and physiological theory and data but it has recently been expanded in exciting ways involving contemporary thinking in physics and biology that tell us more about disease causation and tissue function. This book brings these two fields of thinking together.

The author is now recognised as deep thinker in the field of osteopathy and has developed an international following since the publication of his first book At the Still Point. He puts into clear and understandable prose the ideas and feelings that many osteopaths experience but find difficult to express.

The application of concept, theory and, above all, principle, is the real challenge and it is by addressing these with penetration and relevance that the book allows the practitioner to 'find the health' rather than merely attempting to confront disease.

Robert Lever BA DO is a highly-skilled and well-respected practising osteopath with over 40 years' of experience in providing holistic and compassionate care. He is also a gifted and empathetic teacher who strives to share with his students the understanding of the background science and philosophy of osteopathy which is essential for the effective delivery of care. For over 35 years he lectured on the Principles of Osteopathic Practice at European School of Osteopathy, Maidstone, UK which later awarded him its Medal of Honour for services to osteopathic education.
