This volume lists haematological, biochemical, physiolgocial and therapeutic data useful to veterinary students and those concerned with the health, care and treatment of horses. In the first section, values are given for normal vital signs. There are tables of normal values, reproductive data and electrocardiographical data. Diagnostic tests are also described. The second section consists of an index of drugs and therapeutic data preceded by drug categorization for presciption purposes. Appendices deal with weight estimation methods, metric conversion, SI conversion, ageing of horses (dental), humane destruction of horses, diagnostic nerve block sites, poisonous plants, notifiable diseases, legislation and useful addresses.
