Birthplace: Chester; Current residence: Chester; Qualifications (including significant previous publications); Sarah Heath worked in a mixed general veterinary practice after graduating from Bristol University but gradually developed her special interest in animal behaviour. She now runs her own practice and behavioural consultancy and also lectures at the Royal Veterinary College and works as a visiting behaviour counsellor at Bristol University. A founder member of the veterinary-based Companion Animal Behaviour Therapy Study Group, she was the first veterinary member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors. She contributes regularly to a number of magazines and appears on television as an animal behaviour expert.
