Based on her popular sewing series, 30 Days of Sundresses, Melissa Mora of Mellysews.com shows readers how to stitch up a wardrobe of sundresses - 10 womens, 10 girls - each starting with four basic pattern blocks, then even styles of the looks to transition into fall.
Ever since Melissa Moro launched her 30 Days of Sundress blog series three years ago, her web traffic during the corresponding month has skyrocketed with residual traffic from Pinterest continuing throughout the year. Hundreds of thousands of readers enjoy and anticipate in the series for themselves and for their daughters and granddaughters. The styles are fashionable, comfortable and current, plus the sewing level is approachable for the less confident sewist. Sundressing will capture Melissa's popular series in book form, offering 20 different sundress designs, sewing and fit instructions, fabric suggestions and the four basic blocks for women and girls that are the foundation of every dress. Plus a bonus fashion section will show readers how to style some of the dresses to transition into colder months

Melissa has been sewing since before she can remember; if you believe her mom she started at age 3, when she was still too young to be allowed to use the scissors. After 12 years of teaching high school theatre, including costuming and sewing, she left the classroom to focus on teaching through her blog, Melly Sews, and her sewing patterns, Blank Slate Patterns. She is in talks to design a fabric line, and has a continuing pattern licensing agreement with McCall's Pattern Company. Four Blank Slate Patterns launched in March 2014 on their Green Pepper rack. Three more will be coming in September 2014. Her current line totals 42 patterns and are available at http://blankslatepatterns.com in PDF format.
