Team Racing is a sailing match between two teams with 3 boats in each team. It is a sport in its own right, is fun, and is an excellent way to improve your boathandling and tactics in other forms of racing. The tactics are very interesting -- rather like chess at sea. The manoeuvres are fierce.
Team Racing is a sailing match between two teams with 3 boats in each team. It is a sport in its own right, is fun, and is an excellent way to improve your boathandling and tactics in other forms of racing. The tactics are very interesting -- rather like chess at sea. The manoeuvres are fierce. This book describes those tactics and the way the rules influence those tactics. This second edition fully updates to take into account the new 2001--2004 rules

Steve Tylecote has been winning in top level international team racing events for the last seven years. Recently he raced with GBR1 Spinnaker to win the 2001 Hinman Trophy for the US Team Racing Championships, a feat never previously achieved by a non--North American team. In 1995 he captained GBR1 to win gold at the ISAF World Team Racing championships. He followed up on this success with two further Team Racing World Championship medals, in Ireland 1999 and Czech Republic 2001. Steve has won the Wilson Trophy for the British Open Championships on numerous occasions. He has also captained the British team to win the British American Cup for keelboat team racing and has won the British Universities Team Racing Championships as captain of Southampton University.
