Sewing Boot Camp builds and challenges at all sewing levels while covering design principles, basic sketching, storyboards, draping, pattern making, and sewing techniques.
A fashion design course in a book, Sewing Boot Camp covers design principles, basic sketching, how to create story boards, basic draping, basic pattern making, sewing construction techniques that are the most important. It will include lessons on body types, knowing your audience and more. Each page or section will offer a lesson in itself, making the sewing skills people need approachable and achievable. The book also includes drafting tools. With these 5 basic pattern shapes (cardboard slopers) readers can create ANY garment they can think of by tracing a shape then cutting, slashing, manipulating, adding design details etc. It is like having a cookie cutter or reusable tool to make patterns.
