This handbook explains the complementary therapy in preserving personal well-being and vitality and provides an overall view of ayurvedic principles. Advice on nutrition, exercise and lifestyle are given, in addition to a guide to the causes and treatments of specific health problems.
We all know someone who never seems to suffer from depression or ill health, or even a runny nose and it's not because they keep fit and eat the right things; but they seem to have an inner strength that allows them to cope with the pressures of modern life and maintain their equilibrium. Ayurveda means "the science of life" and it looks for the equilibrium in each individual. It is a holistic approach to healing. This handbook explains the complementary therapy in preserving personal well-being and vitality and provides an overall view of ayurvedic principles. Advice on nutrition, exercise and lifestyle are given, in addition to a step-by-step guide to the causes and treatments of specific health problems.

After taking a degree in Ayurvedic medicine, Dr Godagama studied Acupuncture and Homeopathy. He became Director of Therapies at the Tyringham clinic, before joining the Hale Clinic as visiting consultant in 1988. Seven years later he became the Founder President of the British Ayurvedic Medical Association.
