A born and bred Aucklander, Trevor Burgess is a member of the New Zealand Mountain Safety Council Inc. He is involved in the training and assessment programme for instructors and acts as a Field Controller. In this role, he manages searches for people missing or who have difficulties in the bush. Seven Klinge has written many books on cycling and walking in the bush. He has toured extensively throughout New Zealand, Australia and Europe. Adrian Hart has also travelled extensively throughout New Zealand, Australia, North America and Europe. He has written one novel.
