A practical, science-based guide that goes beyond mindfulness and shows how in just 10 minutes a day you can make meditation part of your routine.
Can't sleep because your thoughts won't switch off? Ever walked into a room to get something, only to realise you've forgotten what you were looking for? Does a constant stream of unnecessary chatter run though your head? Do you wish you could stop that mental noise whenever you wanted to?

SILENCE YOUR MIND offers a completely new approach to meditation that will help recharge your mental batteries and leave you feeling more positive, dynamic and wholly engaged with the world.

Dr Ramesh Manocha is a pioneer of meditation and provides simple and effective 10-minute techniques for everyone's daily routine. In clear and easy-to-understand terms, Dr Manocha draws upon extensive new scientific research, fusing Western society's concepts of creative flow and mindfulness with the ancient authentic Eastern idea of inner stillness, to reveal the benefits that meditation brings to your mental and physical self.

Dr Ramesh Manocha, MBBS Bsc (Med) PhD, is a medical practitioner and researcher currently based at the Discipline of Psychiatry, Sydney Medical School, where he coordinates the Meditation Research Programme. His PhD focused on evidence-based application of meditation to a wide variety of issues including work stress, well-being and quality of life, chronic disease, menopause and ADHD. Currently Manocha and his team are involved in developing meditation programmes for school-age children, which are already generating impressive outcomes, with both teachers and students noticing the remarkable benefits. Manocha is also the founder of Generation Next, a programme aimed at educating professionals and parents about the mental health crisis facing our young people - and how it can be dealt with. Generation Next is unique in its emphasis on the idea that to meaningfully tackle this crisis we need to look at not only improving diagnosis and treatment of mental illness but also actively pursue social and cultural change. www.beyondthemind.com
