Doncaster Rovers FC was founded in 1879 and turned professional in 1885. Since then, the Rovers have spent the majority of their playing history between the third and fourth tiers of the Football League. In 2013 Rovers became champions of League One, winning promotion to the Championship. Doncaster Rovers: A Pictorial History covers the historic period of the club's existence in over 100 photographs, telling the story of the club and outlining the Rovers' highs and lows. Steve Uttley, Head of Media and official photographer at Doncaster Rovers, and Tony Bluff, the club's historian, have collected an archive of images, portraying the club's history from its founding to today.
