Alternative medicines and therapies are becoming more and more mainstream as they prove their effectiveness for a wide range of ailments. First published in 1985, Better Health through Natural Healing has become one of the most successful and authoritative compendiums of its type. This third edition has been fully revised and updated by Ross Trattler and his son Shea to encompass recent developments in holistic medicine and healing. The first part of the book clearly explains the principles and tools of natural medicine, including diet, spinal manipulation, botanical medicine, hydrotherapy, physiotherapy and homeopathy. The second part offers practical advice for the treatment of over 100 common diseases and ailments. This third edition of Better Health through Natural Healing is an essential family resource that unites traditional and alternative techniques with time-tested natural treatments drawing on the body's natural healing abilities.

Naturopath and osteopath Dr. Ross Trattler studied in the US before attending the British College of Naturopathy and Osteopathy. Now in practice on the Gold Coast, Australia, Trattler advises many of his patients to adopt naturopathic principles of living to aid recovery when general health is a factor in their musculoskeletal condition. Dr. Shea Trattler, B.App. Sci (Comp. Med.), M. Ost. is a second-generation osteopath and had his first osteopathic treatment when he was 5 minutes old. He has expertise in the treatment of headaches and sciatica, and has a personal interest in treating scoliosis.
