The third exhibition to take place in
the Brotkunsthalle is devoted to the
neighbouring countries of the Czech
Republic and Slovakia. Due to my occupation
with the work of Jiří Kolář and the representation
of Erik Binder, a long-term connection between
both countries and my gallery has been
established long since, spanning over the
scope of several generations as usual.

The encounter with Lucie Drdová and Martin
Mazanec has been a fortunate one, resulting
in a guided tour of the exciting scene of the
neighbouring countries. Like in the case of
the great Iran exhibition, this time, too, the
curators were not limited by any assignments
(except for the budget), thus documenting
a specific approach of their own to their art
scene in the exhibition.

Faithful to my motto of devoting the
Brotkunsthalle to the passion for the arts
only and not to dwelling on commercial
speculation, I invite you to follow this guided
discovery tour and to encounter the peculiar
rhythm of the curators and their selection.
