Director, World Health Organization Collaborating Center at International Diabetes Center and Clinical Professor of Family Practice and Community Health, University of Minnesota Medical School. Formerly, Professor of Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Community Health, and Executive Director and Co-Principal Investigator of the Diabetes Research and Training Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Distinguished Visiting Scientist to the United States Centers for Disease Control. Past Co-Chairperson, American Diabetes Association Council on Health Care Delivery. Richard M. Bergenstal, MD executive director of the International Diabetes Center, is an endocrinologist at Park Nicollet Clinic in Minneapolis. In 2007, he received the ADA's Outstanding Physician Clinician in Diabetes award, among the highest honors in diabetes, and is the 2009 President Elect of the ADA. Robert M. Cuddihy, MD, is currently Medical Director at the International Diabetes Center (IDC) at Park Nicollet in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota Medical School. Prior to the IDC, Dr. Cuddihy was at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Diabetes Center in Boston and served as Chairman of the Division of Endocrinology at Newton-Wellesley Hospital and as Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School (HMS). Ms Ellie Strock, ANP-BC, CDE, is a board-certified adult nurse practitioner and certified diabetes educator. She is currently the IDC's Director of International Programs in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and also serves as Chief Education Director for the World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Center for Diabetes Education, Translation and Computer Technology. Ellie has coauthored the Staged Diabetes Management SM (SDMSM) program and authored over 30 articles on diabetes in peer reviewed journals.
