John Strydom is a former psychology lecturer at the University of Natal. Antony Osler is a long-time Zen practitioner and a teacher, a former Zen monk, and a human rights advocate. He is the author of Stoep Zen and Zen Dust. Chrisi van Loon is a coeditor of The Cake the Buddha Ate. She oversees and directs the many activities at the Buddhist Retreat Center, including setting up retreat programs and liaising with teachers. Angela Shaw is a photographer whose work has been exhibited at ArtSpace in Durban and has been featured in various publications, including Cosmopolitan, Elle Decoration, and House and Leisure. Claire Clark is a freelance designer who has worked in many aspects of design, from fine art to graphic, painting to photography, layout to styling.
