Teaches you how to communicate with your dog. This book also covers the physical aspects of caring for your dog: from maintaining him in good health to the legal responsibilities of being a dog owner. It also includes numerous case histories which demonstrate a variety of problems that can actually occur.
How can I cure my dog of his annoying habit? Why does he do it? Is it ok to mix dogs and children? Should I have him neutered? How do I make him understand what I mean? In "The Trouble-free Dog", Robert Alleyne, a leading canine behaviourist, teaches you how to communicate with your dog. Having acquired this skill, you will then be able to prevent worrying behavioural problems occurring or solve those your dog already has. However, as well as dealing with your pet's psychological needs, the book also covers all the physical aspects of caring for your dog: from maintaining him in good health to the legal responsibilities of being a dog owner. Also included are numerous informative and entertaining case histories which demonstrate the wide variety of problems that can actually occur. "The Trouble-free Dog" will prove to be the essential guide for all dog owners or prospective dog owners.

Robert Alleyne is one of a 'new breed' of experts in the field of working with dogs and their owners. Realizing that training and behavioural problems can be two entirely separate issues, he has dedicated himself to perfecting his considerable skills in dealing with both. Robert is a successful dog handler in his own right, a member of the UK Registry of Canine Behaviourists, and an associate member of The Companion Animal Behaviour Therapy Study Group. He has also run his own obedience training classes since 1986, and is currently employed as an animal welfare officer for the London Borough of Lewisham. Cecile Curtis is a professional artist, lecturer and sculptor. Her work has involved a variety of subject matter, but it was not until she started writing and illustrating her own books that her great love of animals fully emerged. Her work has been exhibited in Philadelphia, New York, Stockholm and London. She is a member of MENSA
