An Atlas of Surgical Approaches to the Bones and Joints of the Dog and Cat

A new edition of the small animal orthopoedic surgery atlas, this is a practical "how-to" guide for exposing long bones and joints. All approaches in the prior edition have been reviewed and either revised to incorporate refinements in technique, or replaced with new and more effective approaches. The volume is organized by regional anatomical areas, with alternative approaches demonstrated to fit different clinical situations and covers several approaches to guide the surgeon in exposing the shoulder for the surgical management of fractures and osteochondritis dessicans. It also includes a separate section on general surgical considerations to provide guidance on aseptic technique, draping procedures and the selection of surgical instruments, as well as ancillary procedures such as osteotomies and tenotomies.
