Written by the best known name in the manual therapy world - already a best-selling author with a huge following - the book introduces and explains the concept of Fascia as a body system whose malfunction is a major cause of pain and disability. For therapists who until now have had little scientific basis for their practice this will arm them with the evidence required to justify their desired status as health care professionals.

Thomas Myers is the author of Anatomy Trains (Elsevier 2001, 2009, 2013) and co-author of Fascial Release for Structural Balance (Lotus 2010), and 100 articles for journals and trade magazines. Tom has practiced integrative manual therapy for 40 years in a variety of clinical and cultural settings, having previously studied with Drs Ida Rolf, Moshe Feldenkrais, Buckminster Fuller, and a number of European osteopaths and movement teachers. Tom's company offers continuing professional development courses worldwide for a variety of manual and movement approaches. Tom lives, writes, and sails with his partner Quan on the coast of Maine in the USA.
