Chris Mullin is a basketball legend. In college and the NBA, he inspired awe in his teammates and fear in his opponents with his pinpoint shooting and laser-quick passing. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2011.
Winning Spirit Basketball grew out of conversations between basketball great Chris Mullin and sports psychologist Tom Mitchell about players, coaches, parents and the game of basketball. It is not a book about the Xs and 0s of basketball. It will not teach you how to run a play or shoot a free throw. Rather, it will help you learn the values that the game can teach—to make you a better player on the court and a better person off the court. Chapters include:
The Inner Game
Practice Time
Breaking a Sweat
Free Your Mind
Confidence Comes from Within
Express Yourself
Have Fun
Learn from Loss
Protect Yourself
With the simple and inspiring advice here, you will be able to put the things you learn in this book into immediate practice—to change your game, and maybe your life.
