De Waal Davis worked at various Cape Town hotels as a trainee chef and catered for large functions for many years. His colourful life experiences include being a Western Province heavyweight boxing champion, a rock guitarist and a brief stint as a motorcyclist. He lives in Cape Town where he works as a property consultant. Colin Daniel is one of South Africa's leading caricaturists and editorial illustrators. His experience includes the advertising sector, and a range of newspapers and publications, both local and abroad. He is currently the resident illustrator for Independent Newspapers' Personal Finance newspaper and magazine.
