Finished Last at Folkestone is the story of John Norbury who visited all 60 UK racecourses as part of his love of racing. From Cheltenham to York, Catterick to Goodwood, John takes us to many of the courses and shares his memories of the people he meets, races he witnesses and gambles won and lost. Since being old enough to look at the runners and riders everyday in his dad's morning newspaper, John Norbury became embroiled in the sport of horseracing and wanted to know more. He developed a desire to explore everything this fabulous sport had to offer; from the jockeys and the trainers to the various idiosyncrasies each individual course offered.
