Bill Oddie is Britain’s best-known birdwatcher. He has devoted much of the last 25 years to promoting public awareness of both birdwatching and conservation in general. He is author of several books including the classic Bill Oddie’s Little Black Bird Book, and New Holland’s Bill Oddie’s Birds of Britain & Ireland and Bill Oddie’s Introduction to Birdwatching. He has presented numerous BBC TV series on birds and other wildlife, including Birdwatching with Bill Oddie, Springwatch and Autumnwatch. He lives in Hampstead, London.
