This collection of some 50 pieces is about golfers past and present - from Vardon, Braid and Taylor to Palmer, Nicklaus and Player and on to Watson, Norman and Langer - either writing about themselves or as seen through the eyes of such famous golf writers as Bernard Darwin, Henry Longhurst, Peter Alliss and Herbert Warren Andrews. Also included are items on the Augusta in April and some controversial views on the home of golf, St Andrews. Ian Woosnam, who in 1987 became the first golfer in the world to win more than 1,000,000 pounds in a year, has contributed his own personal introduction to each of the items, designed to amuse and entertain as well as providing insights into the world of a top professional golfer and his early career.
