The Open Championship

The 2010 Open Championship returns to St Andrews, the home of golf, and, as always, will see the best players in the world gather together to pit their wits against a great links course. Stewart Cink was something of a surprise winner in 2009 at Turnberry, holding off the challenge of one of the veterans of the tour, Tom Watson, with the match being decided over 4 extra holes. Englishmen Chris Woods and Lee Westwood finished a shot off the lead in joint 3rd. The return to St Andrews will make this a memorable Open. The big question before it takes place is whether Tiger Woods will be there or whether he will still be on his total break from golf.
