Henry T. Gradon was the son of the late George Gradon, founder of the firm of George Gradon & Sons. Henry was born in Framwellgate on the 7th of April 1855. He qualified as an Architect and Surveyor and in 1881 Henry opened his own offices in Saddler Street. He died on the 11th of August 1917, aged 62.
