Richard Arghiris first visited Latin America in 2003, when he travelled between the capitals of Mexico and Panamá. Richard has since become a regular visitor to the Americas, writing and researching content for guidebooks, magazines, newspapers and websites. Richard has lived and worked in Amsterdam, Brighton, London and at sea. Aside from Latin America, he has travelled widely in Europe and the United States, and is currently based in London where he works as an author and freelance journalist and is on the road whenever it calls. Check out Richard's blog from Nicaragua, interamericana.co.uk. A descendant of the hardy souls who founded Québec and New York City, settled much of Canada and New England, and one adventurous ancestor who was blown off course and accidentally discovered French Guiana, Geoff still makes an annual pilgrimage to Mt. Desert Island, where his family has summered off and on since 1603. An expert on the Jesuit missions of Chiquitos, he has published more works in English on the region than anyone alive, and his writings, photography, and website on the same have won considerable international acclaim. Anna Maria Espsater, originally from Sweden, first moved to Mexico at 20, enjoying the culture shock, spicy food and sunny weather. She has since returned repeatedly for shorter and longer stays. Now based in London, she works as a freelance travel and food writer, chasing the ambition of visiting every country in the world. With 82 visited to date she has a way to go yet, but remains undaunted despite surviving tropical disease, earthquakes, assault and armed robbery on the road.
