The new collection follows the style of the original book Whykickamoocow. Written in an accessible and interesting style, this is more a light social history than an exhaustive dictionary of place names. It's entertaining as well as educational, and provides glimpses into the history of this country through the eyes of those people tasked with naming our suburbs, towns, cities and landmarks. It features photographs of signage in some of the towns featured, as the original collection did. This book is divided into seven sections, covering around 70 names and with a good north/south balance. Chapters include: Body Parts, Animals, Holy Cow, More international towns, The Bleeding Obvious, More Oddities, More Shag factor.
