From shopping for duty-free treasures in the capital of Hamilton to exploring St. George's (home of the island's first settlers) to lounging in luxurious beachfront hotels, "Moon Bermuda" is the guide to the best the island has to offer, both on and off the beaten path. With firsthand experience and honest insight, Bermuda native Rosemary Jones provides you with all the tools you need to create your own unique experience. Rosemary's fun and creative travel suggestions can help you plan your perfect trip: Complete with details for following the African Diaspora Trail, attending the renowned International Film Festival in the spring, or touring the island's protected marine areas and 63 national parks, "Moon Bermuda" gives travelers the tools they need. With expert writers, first-rate strategic advice, and an essential dose of humor, "Moon Handbooks" ensure that travelers have an uncommon and entirely satisfying experience - and a few new stories to tell.

Author Rosemary Jones is a born and bred Bermudian, the daughter of British immigrants to the island. She received a B.A. in Spanish from Queen's University, Ontario, Canada, during which she spent a year in Madrid, and later lived in Paris as a language student at the Sorbonne. She began freelance writing for newspapers, including Bermuda's daily, The Royal Gazette, later, Jones spent five years as the managing editor of The Bermudian magazine. Jones has contributed to newspapers, magazines, and news services in North America and Europe, including Islands, In Style, Reuters, Canadian Press, Associated Press, The Daily Mail and Conde Nast Publications, and is a correspondent for People magazine. She is also the author of Bermuda: Five Centuries, a coffee-table history of the island published in 2004. As a native islander, Jones is acutely attuned to Bermuda's idiosyncrasies, history, social nuances, newest attractions, and insider secrets. Like all islanders, she grew up giving directions to visitors and helping them navigate left-side driving and Bermudian humor. Yet, like the infamous Bermuda onion, the island always offers more to be discovered. Jones's research for Moon gave her the perfect excuse to brush up on esoterica: like how to pour the perfect dark'n'stormy, when to go ghost-hunting at Victorian mansions, and the best way to treat jellyfish stings.
