Spain has many wonders outside of the major cities and away from the hordes of tourists. The beauty of the landscape combined with the diversity of the culture and the warmth of the welcome makes for an enchanting experience. This delightful guide is aimed at the visitor who wants something a little out of the ordinary. It will provide the most scenic and interesting itineraries to lead you to the most historic hotels. Karen Brown's Guides have been trusted by travellers for over 20 years for their warn, engaging and up to date reviews of the finest inns and small hotels in Europe and North America. Only the most charming places to stay make it onto the pages of these guides - no inn can buy its way in and those not maintaining their standards every year are dropped. These guides are so reliable that travellers have come to plan their whole holidays around Karen Brown's recommendations.
Karen Brown began researching, writing and publishing her first two titles whilst travelling in France and Britain at the age of nineteen. Karen enlisted the aid of her mother, Clare Brown, a former travel agent (whose experience proved invaluable) and followed up with books on Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Ireland and Germany. June Brown, an English woman, no relation, was recruited to the staff. This talented Karen Brown trio are solely responsible for the research, writing and production of these guides and personally visit every inn that is included. The company is therefore intentionally intimate in size, which helps to maintain the quality and consistency of recommendation.
