It contains statistical, historical and cultural information about this unique country, which has a small population, a temperate climate and life forms found nowhere else on earth. It remained unpeopled longer than any habitable continent or major island until it was settled by polynesians some 1,200 years ago. Its geographic diversity, scenic attractions, small population and temperate climate have earned it such labels as "South Seas Paradise". The author has also written some 20 books including "The Collector" and "Te Puea".
