Open the door to Ireland's many travel trails, for a day, a weekend, a week or longer.
Ireland is brimming with fun-filled travel experiences, with spectacular scenery, awesome attractions and friendly people. Wander amid ancient dolmens, castles, crannógs and round towers. Ride a jaunting car, climb aboard a steam-powered train, lend a hand on a working farm, join in an Irish set dance or just settle into a pub and chat with the locals. Ireland brings out the best in all of us. Open the door to Ireland’s many travel trails, for a day, a weekend, a week or longer.

Pat Preston, widely acknowledged as the 'Ireland expert', has thirty-five years of experience of writing about Ireland. She has written nine previous books on travel in Ireland, and contributed to nineteen others from all the major guidebook publishers, as well as writing for numerous magazines and major US and Canadian newspapers. She is also the author of more than a dozen travel guidebooks on US destinations. In 1997, she and her husband John Preston were the first ever recipients of the Travel Writer of the Year award from the state of Delaware. Pat and John live in Red Hook, NY, but travel to Ireland frequently accompanying group tours.
