Bed and Breakfast in New England

The transport of people and goods is an essential human activity. However, the environmental costs of this energy-intensive sector are critical and far-reaching: the transport sector now accounts for more than 20 per cent of world oil consumption. Considerable progress has been made since the 1970s in curbing emissions from motor vehicles and improving fuel efficiency. This report examines transport systems, focusing particularly on road transport, and seeks to provide decision-makers with the information they need to design or improve energy-efficient transportation systems.
