Pennsylvania resident and voracious traveler Anna Dubrovsky covers the best of the Keystone State, including Philadelphia, Amish country, the Pocono Mountains, Hershey, and Presque Isle. She offers a variety of unique travel strategies—from kid-pleasing getaways to rail fan meccas—and details the most popular sights, including the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Gettysburg National Military Park, and Fallingwater. Complete with expert tips on places to dine, sleep, and shop, Moon Pennsylvania gives travelers the tools they need to create a more personal and memorable experience.

Anna Dubrovsky has lived in more than a dozen cities on three continents and has explored countless others. She has wandered through the Louvre in Paris and the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, Russia, where she was born; she has cycled the western coast of Ireland, hang-glided over Rio, motorcycled up a mountain in the Dominican Republic, scuba-dived in Costa Rica, and camped along the Appalachian Trail; she has marveled at the Taj Mahal, prayed at the Western Wall, and danced in Havana. Yet she still keeps coming back to Pennsylvania. Anna first set foot in the Keystone State when her 7th-grade class ventured from Cleveland to Philadelphia, belting Whitney Houston ballads all the way. Her family relocated to Pittsburgh a couple of years later, and Anna's first driver's license was a Pennsylvania one. After her sophomore year at Northwestern University, she returned to Pennsylvania for a reporting internship at The Morning Call of Allentown, where she covered The Great Allentown Fair from the perspective of a sheep. She interned at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette after her junior year and worked as a statehouse reporter for the York Daily Record after graduating. In 1999 she left the newspaper and Pennsylvania for New York City, where she covered City Hall for an online news service. After stints as a financial reporter in New Jersey and Los Angeles and as a student of yoga in India, Anna followed her heart back to Pittsburgh, bought a house and a membership to the world-class Carnegie Museums, and began a career as a freelance writer and yoga teacher. Finally, she has an answer to a question that has always stumped her: “Where are you from?”
