This guide is divided into 12 regions, each section beginning with an introduction to the area and its attractions. Most establishments have been inspected and classified under the National Crown Scheme and have undertaken to observe the English Tourist Board Code of Conduct. Every entry has a short description. Accommodation covered includes village inns, bed & breakfast establishments, accommodation on farms and low-cost hotels and hostels.
