Great Cycle Tours of Britain

Describes 15 routes along a network of quiet roads in Britain, taking the cyclist into the depth of the country. Each route is circular and is illustrated with maps. Descriptions include historical and geographical detail, information on rail and road connections and accommodation. Ten weekend routes are featured, ranging from 60 to 100 miles in length, including the Peak District, Cotswolds and the Weald of Kent. There are also five week-long tours, up to 200 miles long, covering the Western Highlands of Scotland, Borders and Northumbria, Mid-Wales and the Marches, East Anglia, Sussex, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
