Where the Indus is Young

This is Dervla Murphy's account of her three month journey to Baltistan, or Little Tibet, a region containing the greatest concentration of high peaks in the world. With her six year old daughter, she walked or rode through five valleys including the perilous Indus Gorge. She has previously written "Full Tilt" which describes her bicycle journey to India and various other travel books including "Tibetan Foothold", " In Ethiopoa with a Mule", "On a shoestring to Coorg", "Eight Feet in the Andes" and "The Waiting Land".
