ALAN MURPHY Alan Murphy first set foot on South American soil exactly 500 years after Columbus. After a year of following the 'gringo trail' in Venezuela and other countries, he settled down to co-edit an English language newspaper in Bolivia. Alan now lives in Bath and is author of several Footprint titles including the Bolivia, Peru, Scotland, Edinburgh, and Glasgow Handbooks. DAN GREEN Dan Green is an experienced travel writer now living in Caracas. Whenever he can Dan takes time out to join his girlfriend on her PhD travels into the Orinoco Delta to study indigenous tribes.
