A guided tour of the historic town of Preston, showing how the areas you know and love have transformed over the centuries.
On the north bank of the River Ribble lies the city of Preston, the administrative centre of Lancashire. Despite being granted city status relatively recently in 2002, it has had a long and interesting past as a historic market town. Local author, Keith Johnson, guides the reader through its streets and shows how Preston’s famous landmarks and hidden gems have transformed over time. With the help of a handy location map, readers are invited on this tour to discover for themselves the changing face of Preston.

Keith is an engineering design/development engineer having worked in the Printing Press industry for over thirty-five years. His hobbies include running, walking, gym training, railways and local history. He has studied history for the last twenty-five years both locally and nationally and has had a number of successful books to his name. He has also contributed numerous articles on local history to the Lancashire Evening Post for the last fifteen years, and is a member of the Crime Writers Association and the Lancashire Authors Association. He currently lives in Preston.
