Writer Aurelia d'Andrea's earliest fantasies of living in France were born in Mademoiselle Onesto's freshman-year French class, and featured baguettes, berets, and Beaujolais. Aurelia embraced those beloved Gallic clichés (and a few others) when she moved from San Francisco to the City of Light in 2010.From the Rive Droite apartment she shares with her husband and bilingual rescue dog, Aurelia can spot the Eiffel Tower and the bulbous spires of Sacré Coeur basilica. While she never tires of the views, whenever possible, she hops a train to one of l'Hexagone's many picturesque corners to soak up the local scenery and culture. Recent adventures have included flamingo-watching in the marshlands outside of Montpellier and an Alsatian wine-sampling weekend in picturesque Strasbourg.
