Max Caulfield was born in Northern Ireland and is a distinguished journalist and historian. He was Foreign Editor at the Daily Express and a founder member and Head of News at ITN. His fiction, history and travel writing have all been published, including The Easter Rebellion, a definitive study of the 1916 Rising in Ireland, still in print on both sides of the Atlantic over thirty years after it was first published. Joe Cornish is a professional photographer best known for his landscape work for the National Trust. He has also collaborated on a number of travel books, including Italy: The Hilltowns and Prague.
