Within each state section, the numbered gardens are marked on the relevant state map. Each entry includes information such as wheelchair accessibility, opening times, entry fees, special attractions, percentage of plants labelled and facilities.

Murray Fagg is the Director of Visitor Services at the Australian Botanic Gardens ANBG in Canberra. He has contributed to 11 books, providing the photographs for Botanic Gardens of Australia. Leslie Lockwood has recently been appointed to the position of secretariat for the Botanic Gardens based in Canberra. Jan Wilson also works for the ANBG and has coordinated the gathering of data for Botanic Gardens of Australia.
