Welcome to Rostock! So you have a few days in a new city and want to explore a bit. What’s there to see, what is happening where? How should you spend a few hours, an afternoon, or a whole day? And how can you make the most of your time while enjoying yourself? This little tour book is meant for all visitors to Warnemünde and Rostock. It is chock-full of tips for the best sights and tours in town. You will find a wide range of offerings for a holiday: within the city limits are Baltic Sea coastlines, lush forests, beautiful architecture, and of course friendly hosts. In order to get around town and to see everything, we recommend taking one of the tours by bus, boat, or on foot. But you might want to explore on your own using public transportation (we have busses, local trains, and even ships) or car. You can rent a bike or pull out your hiking boots for a tour around town. It’s up to you. We offer comprehensive descriptions of four possible routes to take. We’ll tell you about what sights you don’t want to miss and tell you about what you will see on your way there and back. There are interesting places to visit and tales to hear. Every little corner has its own story and perhaps you will take some of them home with you, to share with friends and family who could not be here with you. In addition to the tours described in detail here, you can also read up on potential trips in the surrounding area. Most of them are well suited for whole or half-day outings.
