The impact of the two world wars and its relationship with its brash neighbour, the USA are discussed. Robert Bothwell was born in Canada, educated at Harvard and is Professor of History at the University of Toronto. He has written many books, ranging from the problems of Atomic Energy to Canadian foreign relations.
