Mr. Rudolf Korbelius is since more than 40 years a practicing Sadhaka and Buddhist. He is born 1955 and began at his early age to be interested in Asian philosophy and religion. Already at the age of 13 he started to study Indian Philosophy in detail and a little later also Chinese Philosophy. At that time he also got familiar with Sanskrit and later with Chinese. He practices Yoga and also got some direct initiations from Yoga Masters who have accepted him as a pupil. At the age of 20 he was initiated as a Svami into the Indian Hindu monk order. But beside his studies in Indian philosophy he also focused on the Chinese way of thinking. He converted to Buddhism and took part in a several years training program for Buddhist novices, who study Buddhist history, philosophy and practice, to become monks and Buddhist teachers. He was accepted as a personal pupil by the Head of a Buddhist school and trained himself during ten years very intensively in Buddhist philosophy and practice under the personal guidance of his Buddhist teacher and his study contains Hinayana, Mahayana and Vajrayana. Today his school specific practice is belonging to the Indian-Chinese Vajrayana (Mizong).Although mainly based on Buddhist philosophy he is also familiar with Chinese philosophy and Daoism. He is also practicing special forms of Qi Gong since more than 40 years.Beside this so called spiritual development he is employed at an international company as a senior managing consultant in the subject of computer science. Mr. Korbelius is married with a Chinese and has two children.
